Smoking Electronic Cigarette vs Smoking Tobacco

The Electronic Cigarette, occasionally called an electric cigarette is rapidly becoming a well-liked tobacco alternative. Electronic cigarettes offer a strong nicotine punch without burning anything and without the 4,000 chemicals and combustion by-products found in tobacco. It has not been established that eCigs are safe - studies on electronic cigarettes are yet to be done - but reports by regular folks are very favorable. Instead of hot, harsh smoke, nicotine  is administered in a cooler mist - consisting of mostly water vapor and nicotine. Electronic cigarettes don't smell! They can  be used in most places that prohibit tobacco cigarettes and they are a great deal less costly in the long run, than customary tobacco cigarettes.

While several have claimed that electronic cigarettes have helped them quit smoking, I'ts hard for me to see the electronic cigarette as a stop-smoking device. It's the same problem one has with nicotine gum or patches. How can you get off nicotine with something that contains nicotine? I also am not discouraging anybody from stopping if that's what they want to do - I  propose going cold turkey, if you can go three days without you can do it - I stopped for five years that way - several times  :).

So it makes sense that the electronic cigarette is more for those who take pleasure in smoking and/or have issues quitting, but  would sooner not partake of the other 4,000 chemicals in tobacco or deal with the other troubles connected with smoking  tobacco.

Tobacco Cigarettes stink! Ashtrays stink, even clothes and rooms where people smoke stink. Cigarette butts stink and a pile of them in an ashtray is not an attractive sight. Smoking is costly and getting more so. There's little need to go into the health issues  involving cigarettes - everyone knows that commercial cigarettes are dangerous to one's health. Smokers are also informed of the shame applied to smoking tobacco cigarettes. Smoking is currently prohibited in almost all public places and smokers are generally looked-down upon - occasionally even with outright aversion.

It's incredible that a person has not developed a better alternative...

The USB model runs for about $50 but is rather restricted as you are in essence chained to a computer.
